When you look at the Russian words for these: слышать and слушать. First of all, maybe you figure it out yourself. So, there is only one difference of course and maybe you can find out, what it means.
I mean surely we all know to hear, to listen. To listen is something you want to take in more, like music you like. And hearing is less intense. But there is more meaning in the Russian ones.
And it shows in the sounds. The uij is shallow. And the u is deeper. It gives a better idea what each one means.
